The International Exhibition for Animal Production (SPACE) was back Sept. 15 to 18 for its 34th edition! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the show adapted: numerous digital meetings were proposed.

Aquaculture, poultry farming, beef, goats, rabbits, sheep and pig, SPACE enhances the value of animal farming and its multiple facets. This year, the entire show was done virtually across France, rather than taking place in its usual location in Rennes in northwest France.

Reducing the use of antibiotics, animal nutrition, best environmental practices guides in poultry farming, and other conferences and knowledge exchanges were transmitted like on the SPACE website and on the event’s mobile app.

Several highlights were maintained, like Innov’Space, a competition that promotes the latest innovations for the past 25 years. Twenty-six winners were honored.

A digital showcase was developed to highlight the two breeds of honor this year, the Normande and the Blonde d’Aquitaine, but also for other breeds. Video reports on farms with the two breeds were also available on the site.

To help farmers in their investment projects, SPACE launched a B2B meeting platform on its mobile application. This allowed participants to make appointments during the conference with other attendees.
